Penrith’s Ast Transport Branding backs Rick Parfitt Jnr in motorsport sponsorship deal

Fleet branding company Ast Transport Branding has teamed up with two racing drivers as they launch a title challenge in their Team Parker Racing Bentley Continental GT3.

The Penrith-based firm has become a commercial partner for Seb Morris and Rick Parfitt Jnr, who are preparing for the upcoming British GT Championship.

As part of the deal, Ast Transport Branding will design and fit the livery to Team Parker Racing’s Bentley Continental GT3.

Seb Morris made his debut at the 2016 GT season, where he took pole position at Brands Hatch and went on to secure three other pole positions during the season.

Rick Parfitt Jnr, the son of late Status Quo rocker Rick Parfitt, is already a British GT champion, having won the GT4 category back in 2013.

The pair competed in their first season together in last year’s British GT Championship, ending the campaign third in the title standings with victory at Oulton Park and three other podiums.

Ast Transport Branding MD Mark Aston said: “This is a fantastic opportunity and we’re excited to be working with Rick and Seb for 2017.”

Ast Transport Branding, which specialises in commercial signage and transport fleet branding, was founded in 2003 and has since worked with logistics giant Eddie Stobart, high street bakery Greggs, tool hire company Speedy and various other national brands.

In 2015, Ast completed a £2.7m investment in its new 21,000 sq ft HQon Gilwilly Industrial Estate.
