Signature Living unveils plan to transform the Cunard Building into Liverpool’s most ‘luxurious’ wedding venue
Property firm Signature Living has unveiled its vision to turn one of the Three Graces into Liverpool’s most “luxurious” wedding venue.
The company shared its proposals for transforming the Cunard Building into a brand new weddings and events space, should it acquire the property in the coming weeks.
The Liverpool-based developer’s plan for the Grade II-listed property could also include a potential Michelin-starred restaurant.
Weddings already form a major part of Signature Living’s business. The company has seen thousands of couples tie the knot at its 30 James Street and Shankly Hotel sites.
The firm said it also has bookings secured for its new Exchange Hotel in Cardiff Bay, which will open at the end of April.
Signature Living’s events space at the Cunard would have capacity for up to 1,000 people.
Lawrence Kenwright, the company’s founder and chairman, said: “Acquiring the Cunard Building is the ideal next step for Signature and the wedding and events aspect of the company.
“There would be no better or more luxurious weddings venue in Liverpool; with truly breath-taking views and the illustrious history of the building, I’m certain anyone would love to get married there.”
He added: “We are excited to be moving forward with these plans and hope to complete the deal imminently.”
