Warrington-based Talk Internet acquired by Birmingham’s Wavenet
Warrington-based network and cloud services provider Talk Internet Limited has been acquired by business communications firm Wavenet.
Wavenet, headquartered in Birmingham, made the acquisition to strengthen its presence in the North West and add new features to its portfolio.
Bill Dawson, CEO of Wavenet, believes the deal represents a “fantastic opportunity for both customers and employees” of the two companies.
He said: “Our increased scale and resources will deliver a broader product set, a more robust and automated technical platform, stronger supplier relationships and a better customer experience which will help give all our customers a competitive edge.
“I am truly delighted and hope to make further announcements as we continue to exploit our financial resources to grow our business organically and seek further strategic acquisitions.”
Talk Internet, founded in 1995, provides services covering connectivity, software-defined data centres, infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and cloud services, along with a range of associated technologies.
The company was was owner managed prior to its sale.
Ed Brentnall and Nick Bolton, of advisory firm Dow Schofield Watts’ transaction services arm, provided Wavenet with financial due diligence. A team from law firm Higgs & Sons led by Richard Griffiths provided legal advice.
