A bright future ahead for brand communications agency
Manchester-based agency Noirhas made a move to larger offices and is setting its sights on the evolving tech industry following a number of new client wins at home in Manchester, as well as in London and Silicon Valley, California.
Co-owned by business partners Anthony Logan and Alex Mellor, the pair founded Noir in October 2016 after identifying a need for the application of creative and innovative strategies that would enable brands to become more agile and equipped with the tools to navigate the digital world.
The agency is now working with international clients including a pharmaceutical company based in Silicon Valley that has commissioned Noir to create a 360 degree branded VR video for a medical vaccine, partnering with award-winning agency Immersive VR to deliver the project.
Noir has also recently consulted for global agency Blue 449 to deliver insights into VR and AR technologies for a project with Disneyland Paris.
In the UK, Noir has been appointed by Manchester-based app development company Dreamr, to complete a full rebrand for the company ahead of its third anniversary.
Mylo Kaye, CEO of Dreamr, said: “Noir’s distinct approach to brand strategy was clear from the beginning, something that sets it apart from other agencies. Staying true to our original name, we’re looking forward to working with Anthony and his team on our rebrand which will undoubtedly set us apart from our competitors and reflect the company we are today.”
Noir has also secured contracts with Manchester-based tech firm LIG Technologies, who specialise in nanotechnology and microscopic imaging, along with PR agency Toast who also work closely with several tech startups across the UK.
Co-founder and CEO Anthony Logan is no stranger to building a business from the ground up, having founded popular north west fashion and lifestyle magazine La Vida, before working with Pretty Little Thing and a number of fashion brands. His attention and experience in customer behaviour and engagement was drawn to the growing technology industry and the need for more strategic and creative digital brand development.
“Brand has never been as important as it is right now, most branding models have become obsolete in this disruptive marketplace. We have set out to build an agency that works with breakthrough brands who are invested in their vision and are looking to build their business in the digital landscape, future-proofing them for years to come,” he said.
Co-founder and COO of Noir, Alex Mellor, added: “Being an independent agency gives us a unique set of advantages that allow us to conform to our own strict values. We are committed to solving complex challenges by examining the implications of every brand choice, we look to create new experiences and open doors to opportunity.”
The pair are also celebrating the success of the first six months in business together and embarking on the next phase of growth with a move to a new office space in Royal Mills, Northern Quarter.
