Delifonseca set to offer 'eggs'cellent Easter eats
Delifonseca Dockside is preparing for a cracking Easter Sunday Lunch.
Available exclusively on April 16 from 12pm, the award-winning venue located on Brunswick Quay will be serving up a three-course menu packed with nostalgic seasonal favourites.
To begin their meal, diners can opt from a range of starters such as Rabbit Croquette with Wild Garlic, Potted Brown Shrimp & Crab served with Radish & Cucumber Salad and Rye Bread and Asparagus Risotto with a Twineham Grange Crisp. Mains include Rack of Lamb with Spring Vegetables, Pomme Anna and Rosemary Jus, Seafood Spaghetti in a Rich Langoustine Bisque with Fine Garden Herbs and Open Lasagne of Spring Vegetables Topped with a Poached Duck Egg, together with a choice of Traditional Sunday Roasts.
Those with a sweet tooth can indulge in an assortment of desserts such as Easter Egg Ice Cream Sundae, Duck Egg Custard Tart with Vanilla Cheshire Farm Ice Cream and Ginger & Rhubarb Trifle.
Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca said: “Easter Sunday is a time to gather the family, head out and enjoy some quality time together. With that in mind, our chefs have devised a menu that ticks all the boxes when it comes to pleasing a varied mix of palates.
“From traditional Sunday Roasts that offer a true taste of yesteryear, to contemporary dishes with colourful flavour combinations, there’s certainly something for everyone to enjoy. Little ones will also have ample choice as we’ve created a special children’s menu, which will hopefully help mums and dads coax them to part with their chocolate stash!
“Those who prefer to relax and unwind in the comfort of their own homes during the bank holiday can do so with the added bonus of an Easter breakfast treat. As part of our efforts to support local farmers, we stock plenty of duck, qual and goose eggs, which are guaranteed to spruce up any breakfast plate.
“So what’s the difference? Simply put, duck eggs are a ramped up version of a hen egg with a bigger and richer yolk, more protein and a higher concentration of omega-3 fatty acids, meaning that they are a favourite amongst Paleo dieters. Qual Eggs on the other hand are dainty in size and make for the perfect mini scotch eggs. And last but not least, the mighty goose egg provides a rich flavour, alongside deeply coloured and flavoured yolks, but as their shells are super hard, getting into them is a skill. Happy egg hunting at the food hall this Easter!“
Easter Sunday Lunch menu is available at Delifonseca Dockside on Sunday, April 16 from 12pm and is priced at £29.50 per person. The children’s menu is priced at £12.95 per child.
