Nine new jobs created as Harrogate’s first medical and wellness spa officially opens
A medical and wellness spa in Harrogate was officially opened on Tuesday (April 11th) following a £45k investment.
The new spa, which spans over two floors, was launched by the team behind the Leeds and Harrogate clinic, Foot1st Podiatry.
The new clinic, named Heal, tripled its space, expanded its services and created nine new jobs after the £45k investment and rebrand.
Located in the Montpellier Quarter, the spa provides podiatry, acupuncture, physical therapies plus new medical grade beauty services, osteopathy, ultrasound screening and scanning and a unisex hair styling salon.
Owners Oliver and Matthew Highland-Edmonds said: “With the new move comes a brand new look and name. After much consideration we’ve created a new, clean brand that brings together science-based medical, beauty and now hair treatments all under one roof.”
The new starters include beautician Christy Brown, massage therapist Charlotte Denning, sports massage and acupuncturist Claire Frame, hairdressers Wendy Brough, Cindy Johnson and Kate McMurrough and podiatrist Sally Wilson.
Oliver added: “This is a dream come true for us and is years in the making. For us, it is not just about creating a profit, we want to make an impact in the Harrogate community and are setting up partnerships with local charities and communities to donate our time, expertise and money to support local causes such as homelessness.
“We are caring from the inside in and we look forward to inviting our guests to take full advantage of the range of services in a beautiful calming environment all looked after by a caring, friendly team.”
