Styles&Wood secures trio of Manchester projects worth £15.9m
Property services firm Styles&Wood Group has secured a trio of commercial property contracts in Manchester worth £15.9m.
The Sale-headquartered firm will deliver a £9.5m refurbishment of 67-75 Mosley Street, a £3.7m office-to-residential conversion of a property at St Ann’s Square, and a fit-out worth £2.7m at the One St Peter’s Square development.
In the latter contract, global real estate firm Deka Immobilien tasked Styles&Wood with fitting out 75,000 sq ft across four floors, turning the space into an open-plan suite.
The project is due for completion in Summer 2017 and marks Styles&Wood’s third instruction on the 288,000 sq ft property, following the delivery of fit-outs for tenants DLA Piper and Addleshaw Goddard.
At 12 St Ann’s Square, located above the St Ann’s Arcade, Styles&Wood will work with DTZ Investors as it turns the building’s offices into 21 apartments.
On Mosley Street, Boultbee Brooks Real Estate appointed Styles&Wood to reconfigure two buildings into a single 64,000 sq ft office property.
Project-managed by OBI property, the scheme includes an extension to create a new seventh floor and the construction of a six-storey glazed structure linking the two buildings.
Styles&Wood Group chief executive Tony Lenehan said: “Our project delivery business has continued to secure some impressive briefs in Manchester.
“The underlying strength of the city’s real estate market - demonstrated by the sheer diversity of work involved in these contracts - is providing us with valuable reference projects for our work across the UK.”
He continued: “Our track record of delivering quality workspaces for blue chip occupiers and investors, means we’re well placed to capitalise on growing demand for refurbishments.
“We also expect to see more commercial to residential conversions coming to market, as landlords with legacy stock recognise the potential for strong returns in the city centre residential sector, presenting a new source of work for the group.”
