First Capital Cashflow creates eight jobs after record £8bn year

Payments bureau First Capital Cashflow has established a new HQ in Cheshire and created jobs following a record year.

The company, which offers cloud-based direct debit and direct credit services for a UK-wide client base has doubled the size of its office footprint by moving into larger premises in Daresbury.

The move, which First Capital Cashflow said followed a period of sustained growth, saw the firm take on eight new staff.

In its last financial year, the business processed £8bn worth of direct debit and direct credit transactions for clients – the largest amount in its 15-year history.

The transactions included a one-off £1bn processed in an emergency situation for a public sector body.

First Capital Cashflow MD Conrad Broadbent said: “The business has gone from strength to strength over the past 15 years.

“Our high standards of service mean the majority of our clients have remained loyal to us, with six of our original 10 clients still using us to process their Direct Debits.”

He added: “Over the last few years we’ve also enjoyed a marked increase in the numbers of new clients choosing to process their collections with us.

“This rapid growth meant we became too large for our existing office space. It seemed like the perfect time to purchase our own premise, giving us a solid platform for further growth.”

The new hires, including appointments in the firm’s development, sales and client services teams, mean First Capital Cashflow now employs a team of 20 at its Daresbury HQ.
