Startup marketing agency set for growth at York Science Park

Digital marketing agency Tailor Made Media is set to relocate to a larger office space just two months after moving to York Science Park and securing a place on the Springboard start-up programme.

The seven-strong Tailor Made Media team will move to a 12-person office at the park next month.

Sam Risker, managing director, commented: “We were very happy to be awarded a place on the Springboard programme, and we’ve been taking advantage of the learning opportunities on offer.

“Already we’re outperforming our growth forecast for the first quarter of the year, and the beauty of the Science Park is that we have the flexibility to upscale our office space in line with this growth.”

The Springboard programme is built around the needs of startup businesses and offers a flexible rent structure in line with the sales curve of a young business. The programme also provides access to learning opportunities and networking on site, led by the Science Park team.

Tracey Smith, Science Park CEO, said: “When it comes to awarding Springboard places, we’re looking for businesses with a solid business and cashflow plan or the potential to develop a sustainable business model.

“With Sam and the Tailor Made Media team, we were very impressed by the technology that sits behind the digital marketing strategies and support they provide; such as geo-fencing capabilities that allow them to deliver highly targeted promotional messages on behalf of clients.

“It’s fantastic to see them achieving success so quickly, and we’re very happy to have them at the Science Park.”

Tailor Made Media is working with clients across the country in the construction, building products, hotel, food and drink sectors, providing free of charge marketing audits alongside website, branding, digital marketing and lead generation services.

The team will be embarking on a programme of recruitment over the coming months to make sure the business is effectively resourced to deliver continued growth.
