Subsidiary of £654m-turnover Headlam Group signs at Tower Business Park
A subsidiary of the £654m-turnover flooring company Headlam Group PLC is moving into Manchester’s Tower Business Park.
Rossendale-based development and investment firm Alden Green Developments Limited let a 3,750 sq ft unit to MCD Group, which is wholly owned by Headlam.
MCD is the first tenant and trade counter user at Tower Business Park.
Distributing of a range of floor coverings and products to the UK, France, Switzerland and Netherlands markets, Headlam owns 56 businesses across Europe.
Last year, the company achieved a profit of £36.8m.
Alden Green’s Michael Solomon, who welcomed MCD Group to the development, said he is pleased “to have attracted such a major occupier to the first phase of this development”.
He added: “We have interest in the remaining units in this phase which vary from 3,750 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft.”
Chartered surveyors Nolan Redshaw acted as joint agent on the deal with Taylor Weaver.
Paul Nolan, of Nolan Redshaw, negotiated the transaction.
He commented: “This is a fantastic start for the development to have pre-let a unit to such a large company.
“The quality of the estate is fantastic and we have interest in a number of other units.”
