Yorkshire House in Liverpool welcomes new tenants following six-figure refurb
Liverpool office building Yorkshire House has attracted a raft of new businesses after undergoing an extensive six-figure refurbishment.
Millfield Estates, the Bolton-based property firm, acquired the Chapel Street site in May last year to invest in a design-led upgrade of its common areas and vacant suites.
Primesite Developments is among the new tenants to snap up space at the property.
The firm, which this week revealed plans for a £40m residential development in Liverpool’s £2bn Knowledge Quarter, took 1,583 sq ft on the fourth floor during the refurbishment.
Primesite director Bobbie Johnson said: “Due to the fast growing expansion of the company we have been on the hunt for a new office that would really complement our offer.
“The upgraded look and feel at Yorkshire House was exactly what we were looking for and it has given us a space to really create a new home.”
Bobbie added: “Having three residential development projects currently under construction in the city centre, means our new office location is exceptional.”
Call centre services provider Aspect Software, meanwhile, has taken over the entire 2,313 sq ft seventh floor.
Advisory firms CBRE and Worthington Owen acted for Millfield Estates. Cushman & Wakefield represented Aspect Software.
Other newcomers to Yorkshire House include personal injury specialist UK Law Nationwide, which is occupying a sixth-floor suite, and electrical distributor Hitec Exports Limited, which has moved into a 882 sq ft unit on the ground floor.
With existing tenants including accountants Cowgill Holloway, PR firm Moore Media and engineering consultants Graham & Woolnough Limited, Yorkshire House is now fully let.
Millfield Estates property director Paul Dobson said: “Our long term investment into the Liverpool office market has been thoroughly vindicated with these new lettings in Yorkshire House.
“To have secured new tenants ahead of completion of the refurbishment underlines the strength of the building and its location at the heart of the commercial district.”
He continued: “Enormous credit for the design of the refurbishment must go to the team at USP Creative, who forged a brilliant fusion of modern finishes that still respected the historic features of the building.”
Millfield Estates MD John Farnworth said: “We are really pleased with the market’s reaction to our first investment into Liverpool and we are actively looking for further commercial opportunities in the Liverpool City Region.”
