Store selling merch from three Yorkshire sports clubs to launch at Leeds Bradford
New shopping space opening at Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) later this month will feature products from retailer Fat Face alongside merchandise from three Yorkshire sports clubs.
LBA confirmed today (May 15) that the departure lounge store will sell Leeds Rhinos, Leeds United and Yorkshire County Cricket Club branded products along with Fat Face clothing and accessories.
Five jobs have been created with the new 350 sq ft space, which was built over the winter and houses the first retail unit passengers see after getting through security.
Leeds Bradford Airport’s head of commercial, Richard Aldridge, said: “We are really pleased to announce the addition of these four new brands here at LBA.
“As we continue to develop, it is crucial to offer a further varied mix of shops for passengers to enjoy browsing before departing Leeds Bradford Airport and I am pleased we are once again extending our retail offer.”
He continued: “We have contacted a number of sporting teams across the region in order to ensure we have a variety of teams represented at LBA.
“We are proud to be working with them all in order for passengers to buy any last minute supporter merchandise to wear once on their travels. It’s fantastic to once again introduce another popular national brand alongside some of our regional sports teams – a perfect fit.”
Opening May 25, the retail unit is one of a number of developments at the airport, including a new departure lounge seating area.
