Manchester startup ViewItUK on track for 400% turnover growth
Manchester startup ViewItUK is on track to increase its turnover by 400% after working with Business Growth Hub.
The company was launched to service a niche market in data management analysis, visualisation and reporting by Prof. Michael Donmall and Dr Andrew Jones at the University of Manchester, with support from the Hub’s Dr Yousef Taktak.
ViewItUK increased its turnover by 50% last year to £100k, but the firm is now forecasting that figure to rise to £200k by the end of 2017 and to £500k by the end of next year.
The company’s context is within the University of Manchester Division of Population Health, which boasts multi-million pound healthcare sector contracts.
ViewItUK’s management team has worked with Public Health England and other government departments for two decades, analysing and managing complex health data sets.
Prof. Michael Donmall, founding director of ViewItUK, said: “Thanks to the support offered by Business Growth Hub, we have been able to adapt our pricing structure, generate more customer meetings and further develop the business.
“Our new data visualisation and data solutions are expanding in our target markets. By adapting our internal processes and concentrating on innovation and new patented software development, we’re determined to push for more growth in these sectors.”
Business Growth Hub’s head of growth services, Janine Smith, commented: “Michael and Andrew knew there was a niche in the market that they had the technical know-how to exploit, but lacked some of the necessary business skills.
“With our help, they have been able to grow ViewItUK’s customer base and revenues at a much faster rate than anticipated, meaning they can now forecast further growth and employment.”
