David Hilton, Hannah Thomas and Lynda Williams, Bromleys
Tameside law firm Bromleys has added to its flagship Court of Protection team with three new appointments.
The company has taken on David Hilton as senior associate, Hannah Thomas as a solicitor and Lynda Williams in the role of chartered legal executive.
David is joining Bromleys from Irwin Mitchell, where he led the firm’s Manchester-based Court of Protection team.
Newly-qualified Hannah previously worked for Hill and Co Solicitors in Altrincham.
Lynda has been hired from Salford-based Hugh Jones Solicitors.
John Longworth, the head of Bromleys’ Court of Protection team, said: “These latest recruits strengthen our highly-regarded team, and their arrival follows a significant increase in new instructions to act on behalf of clients and their families.”

Stuart Warriner, GCA Altium
Investment bank GCA Altium has chosen Stuart Warriner for the role of senior advisor.
Joining GCA Altium from professional services giant PwC, Stuart has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry.
At PwC, he led the company’s corporate finance team across Manchester and Leeds since 2007.
He was also appointed non-executive director of discount retailer The Works, which was backed in 2008 by private equity firm Endless.

Christopher Tyrell and Michael Murphy, Hill Dickinson
Commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has announced a raft of promotions.
At the company’s Liverpool office, Michael Murphy has been promoted to partner in the corporate team.
Mike has particular expertise advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate disposals, joint ventures and private equity deals.
Christopher Tyrell, who joined Hill Dickinson as a trainee in 2008, has been promoted to partner in the firm’s Manchester-based commercial litigation team, where he delivers complex contractual litigation work for large corporate clients such as Bibby Group, Halewood International and Peel Holdings.
Hill Dickinson’s Business Services Group head David Chinn said of the promotions: “Congratulations to both Chris and Mike on thoroughly well-deserved promotions.
“Their hard work and experience in delivering an exceptional client service has played a significant role in helping the group deliver a strong performance this year.”

Daniel Sheehan and Victoria Madsen, Fieldfisher
Fieldfisher, the European law firm, has welcomed two new faces to its Manchester-based dispute resolution team.
Daniel Sheehan has joined the department in the role of associate after nearly seven years with regional law firm DWF.
Victoria Madsen, meanwhile, has been recruited after qualifying as a solicitor at Hill Dickinson last September.
Daniel Sheehan said: “With a strong reputation in London, the firm is committed to establishing itself as a key player in the North West market and it is very exciting to be a part of that growth.
“The Dispute Resolution team in Manchester is leading some of the most complex and interesting claims I’ve worked on.”
He added: “It is a really exciting time to be joining the Manchester office and a fantastic opportunity for me.”
Victoria, who studied law at the University of Manchester, commented: “I am happy to have joined an ambitious firm and to hold an exciting role in a fast-growing team.”
Fieldfisher partner James Lappin said of the newcomers: “Dan is a fantastic recruit for the Dispute Resolution team in Manchester.
“We have worked together for a number of years previously; he has an incredible eye for detail and is a tenacious opponent.”

Cornel Lazar, Vibe Tickets
Lancaster-based ticketing app business Vibe Tickets has appointed Cornel Lazar as its new marketing director.
Cornel previously worked for Ticketmaster Resale brands GET ME IN and Seatwave
Vibe’s founder and managing director, Luke Massie, said: “Cornel’s experience in the fast-paced ticketing industry and his enthusiasm for digital innovation really stood out to us. His ambition is endless and his drive to disrupt the market will be vital for Vibe as we reach our goal of becoming the global ticketing marketplace app of choice.

Angela Cross, BDO LLP
BDO LLP, the accountancy and business advisory firm, has promoted Angela Cross to tax partner at its office in Manchester.
Having joined the company in 2014 as tax director with 14 years’ experience in other tax roles at Grant Thornton, BDO said Angela has since made a “significant impact” on the Manchester office.
Angela has specialised in tax for over 20 years, providing both advisory and compliance services to a range of corporate clients.

Anthony Cox and Andrew Stackhouse, RSM
Audit, tax and consulting business RSM has strengthened its Preston-based tax practice with the appointment of Anthony Cox as partner and Andrew Stackhouse as tax director.
Anthony has nearly 21 years of experience advising companies and individuals on tax issues, including those surrounding acquisitions, disposals, capital allowances and R&D tax relief.
Andrew previously worked for two ‘Big Four’ firms, specialising in corporate and property tax advisory work and key compliance tax services.
At RSM, they will support a growing number of regional clients while working closely with the team to grow the firm’s practice and offering.

Russell Hefferan, Cushman & Wakefield
Commercial real estate giant Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Russell Hefferan as an associate in its Manchester-based national student and residential investment team.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield in Manchester, Russell worked at the company’s London office.
Russell has more than 15 years’ experience and first joined the business in 2006 when it traded as DTZ. At that time he worked at the Manchester office, providing valuation and strategic advice on various property matters.
