Salford travel firm Invasion targets students with expanded holiday portfolio
North West travel company Invasion has relocated and launched additional brands as it looks to unlock growth in new markets.
Having moved into The Foundry in Salford earlier this year after outgrowing its former base with the recruitment of seven new staff, the firm decided to expand its portfolio of holiday destinations.
Invasion previously focused on tailored package holidays to European cities and working summer trips in North America and Africa geared towards students.
As part of the expansion, the company now offers working holidays in Australia, China, Vietnam and Thailand.
Invasion also launched Mega Weekends, a new brand catering for corporate team-building events and stag and hen parties.
The firm’s co-founder and director, Nick Steiert, said: “Over the next five years, we’re looking to expand outside of the student demographic.
“We want to develop an online travel portal which has a much wider appeal, with strong content, destination guides and regular travel blogs.”
Invasion’s recent growth follows support received from Business Growth Hub, including access to finance advisors and masterclasses covering employment law, digital marketing and tendering for new projects.
Further, the firm’s newly acquired space at The Foundry has been renamed The Invasion Hub.
Business Growth Hub’s head of access to finance, Philip Hargreaves, commented: “This is a great example of how we can help businesses find the capital they need to develop and create local jobs.
“The new premises have allowed Invasion to expand, employ new people and to move into new markets which will help the business to grow and prosper.”
Following the purchase of The Invasion Hub, Invasion leased space at the property to travel agent Mark Bratt Travel, music promotion company Dusty Pop Entertainment and business coaching firm KUB UK.
KUB UK founder Peter Dickinson said; “Being a part of the Invasion Hub is incredible. It’s a great project and we are growing because of our involvement.
“You are surrounded by a hard-working and creative environment as well as embedding yourself into a supportive family. I’m very pleased to have moved to Manchester and have more opportunities open up to me that I hadn’t thought possible.”
