How to make the most out of your Instagram account?

Instagram is an important marketing tool whether you’re looking to make your personal brand or connect with potential clients. But not all photos and hashtags are equally created. If you don’t invest the time to curate your Instagram posts, you’ll end up lost the crowd. If you want to stand out, take the time to implement these ten Instagram optimization strategies.

1. Complete your profile

This may seem obvious, but for followers to fully engage with your profile, they need to know who are you. You don’t need to tell your story; in fact, it’s best to keep it short. Your profile includes a clickable link, so if you own a website, make sure to embed that link.

2. Post Original Content

Again, this may be common, but the same social media etiquette applies heretoo . If the content isn’t yours, be sure to fool your source or else give credit to the owner.

3. Buy Instagram likes

it is observed that if you buy Instagram likes and apply the same on your pictures; you can easily get a small boost in your profile resulting in an increase of followers

4. Edit Your Photos

Instagram allows you to add filters and offers basic editing tools but don’t limit to what’s in the app. Use Photoshop Express, Instasize, Over, Diptic, etc. to edit and add captions, contrast, or keep the original photo.

5. Use Hashtags

The easiest way to turn many users into followers is to use relevant hashtags. It’s how users with similar interests find each other. Unlike Facebook, the more number of hashtags, the better. In fact, posts with twelve hashtags or more do best. Just make sure the tags are relevant to the photo – no one likes a bait.

6. Engage with Followers

Make sure you connect with your fans. Even if you don’t follow everyone back, at least comment or like their photos. By engaging with them, you demonstrate that you value them and they, in turn, are more likely to return the favor.

7. Be Genuine

Whether it’s your private account or your business, curate your brand. Don’t try to copy a celebrity or other top account – be unique. Stand out from the rest of others by being yourself.

8. Be Nice

We all know one person on social media who is the online equivalent of a cloudy day. Everything they post is negative because every post is designed to force you feel sorry for them.

9. Cross Post

Instagram allows you to link your social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr accounts and post directly there. There’s no need to post to individual platform, though you want to edit the hashtags depending on which site you’re posting.

10. Be Consistent

A big part of managing social media followers is by posting consistently. No one will like their feed to get blown up with ten photos but then not see another post from you for a period of week. The solution is consistency in quality and in content. Better to post two great photos in one day with relevant hashtags than ten low quality photos with weak hashtags.

If you want to see how is your performance, use an app like Iconosquare to track statistics and an average number of likes and comments per photo, location of followers, and share photos or accounts you like.
