Leeds-based Sweco UK appointed to £2.9bn Crown Commercial Service's consultancy framework

Sweco UK, the Leeds-based engineering, environment and design consultancy, has been appointed on two lots of the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) flagship £2.9bn consultancy framework.

CCS is an executive agency of the Cabinet Office, supporting the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.

This new framework provides building, asset design and management services focused on improving value for the public sector.

The Project Management & Full Design Team Services Framework is the first part of a complete service provision within CCS.

The framework has been developed to provide strategic, broad based advice across a wide range of disciplines and functions to support, guide and provide innovative solutions to public sector customers.

It will play a major role in the delivery of a number of government construction and infrastructure projects.

Sweco has been named on Lot 5 and Lot 6 of the two-year framework and will provide a range of civil, structural and building engineering services, as well as environmental services as part of its appointment.

The framework will assist public bodies deliver the £163bn of construction projects planned by the government as part of its Government Construction Strategy 2016-2020.

It consults on projects nationwide via its network of offices in Bristol, Cardiff, Cork, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Maidenhead, Manchester, Newcastle, Peterborough, Solihull and Stockton-on-Tees.
