Construction work commences on new Huddersfield housing development

Work is now underway on a new residential development in Birkby, Huddersfield.

Fibre Architects, the Edgerton-based team of architects, were commissioned last year to design 12 bespoke detached properties for the new scheme.

Construction has now begun on site to create these 4 and 5-bed detached houses with internal accommodation and gardens.

The properties were designed to respect and enhance the site and its surroundings, which is situated in a location just north of Huddersfield Town Centre, surrounded by mature trees.

Completion of the houses is due by the end of 2017.

Fibre Architects’ team of local architects design both commercial and residential architectural projects in Kirklees and further afield, including 30 houses currently on site in Liverpool too.

Martin Booker, managing director at Fibre, commented: “We have put a lot of time and effort into designing these exquisite homes and we are very excited for work to begin on site.

“The development will be a positive addition to the area and we look forward to seeing the end result.”

“With our award wins and a growing team, this has already been a great year for Fibre. Having work get under way on a local project that we’re so proud of is just the icing on the cake!”
