New £6m Warrington dealership is The Car People’s biggest to date
Building firm Caddick Construction has completed a £6m contract to create a retail facility in Warrington for auto dealer The Car People.
Based on Calver Park Road, the new 41,441 sq ft centre has a total capacity of 1,700 vehicles and is The Car People’s biggest site to date.
The dealership houses a showroom, office, toilets, workshop, bodyshop and valet bay.
Caddick Construction’s North West team, based in nearby Birchwood, began work on the site in August 2016.
The project included a raft of associated external works such as car display areas, a servicing area and a new access road.
Andrew Murray, Caddick Construction’s managing director, said: “[We have] an impressive portfolio when it comes to automotive construction.
“We’ve successfully delivered dealerships for a number of high profile car companies including BMW and Mini, Vauxhall, Jaguar Land Rover, SEAT SKODA and Porsche.”
He added: “The sheer scale of this project made it a really rewarding one to work on and we’re certainly happy with the finished result.”
Martyn Carnell, managing director of The Car People, commented: “We’re extremely happy to have worked with Caddick to deliver a first class facility to help us bring completely hassle-free car buying to the people of the Warrington area.
“We have now opened our doors to the public and are delighted to welcome the people of Warrington down to the dealership.”
Caddick Construction is part of Wetherby-headquartered Caddick Group PLC, a £90m-turnover company employing almost 500 people.
