New Stockton HQ for business advisory firm Anderson Barrowcliff

A North East accounting firm has moved its headquarters to a mixed-use development in Teesside.

Anderson Barrowcliff Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors secured new offices on Kingfisher Court at Bowesfield Park, Stockton, to support its plans for future expansion.

The company has now relocated its 55-strong team to the site and plans to make its extra space available for clients to use for their own activities and events.

Andrew Dewing, partner at Anderson Barrowcliff, said: “We’d outgrown our previous offices, and now have plenty of rooms and options for both formal and informal meetings, as well as a large conference space we’re hoping to use for both internal and external training sessions.

“We arranged the layout with clients in mind and are keen to offer the space to them for use, even if we’re not required.”

Tracing its roots back more than 100 years, the firm aims to support the business and financial requirements of company owners, high net worth individuals and trustees.

Jerome Bury, the firm’s newly appointed managing partner, commented: “The whole team has been fantastic throughout the move.

“The team has settled into its new space quickly, which has resulted in a more integrated team atmosphere. The roots of our firm were established in the Tees Valley and we continue to invest in the region.”

Anderson Barrowcliff has joined a growing lineup of businesses based at Bowesfield Park, which is also home to property consultants Sanderson Weatherall, law firms BHP Law and Archers Law, digital marketing agency Colewood, nursery chain Kids 1st, automakers Audi, Lexus and Toyota and European bank Handelsbanken.

Spread over 86 acres, the site also includes more than 230 homes and a 37-acre wildlife conservation area. Plans are currently being progressed for the construction of another 185 homes.
