New Skelmersdale HQ for tech company Extreme Low Energy
North West technology business Extreme Low Energy (ELe) has established a new head office in Lancashire.
The company relocated its HQ team to a 1,600 sq ft unit comprising office, warehouse and research and development space at Gillibrands Industrial Estate in Skelmersdale.
ELe, which has additional offices in Greater Manchester and Merseyside, said it outgrew its former premises in Formby after launching a network of resellers and expanding into new overseas markets.
Mark Buchanan, founder of ELe, said: “Having established the business in 2014, the success and swift growth of the company has seen the need for us to move into suitable new premises.
“The new building is significantly larger than our previous headquarters in Formby and gives us greater office and warehousing space, combining to improve the efficiency of the business.”
He added: “We plan to further build our team and client base throughout the UK and abroad, and this new site gives us the right location in which to best achieve our goals.”
ELe creates systems using DC (direct current) power, which it said offers significant energy and carbon savings by eliminating the AC/DC power conversion used by most modern electrical products.
The firm recently worked with South African IT distributor Ambit Technology to create and install a solar-powered classroom at Tlamatlama Primary School in Johannesburg.
