Animal health wholesaler Trilanco creates jobs at new 110,000 sq ft Preston facility
Animal health and equine products wholesaler Trilanco has created jobs with its move to a new HQ in Lancashire.
With the help of seven-figure funding from HSBC, the company commissioned and relocated to a 110,000 sq ft warehouse and office site at Mill Farm in Preston.
In addition to taking on 12 new members of staff, Trilanco plans to use the increased capacity at its new headquarters to explore export opportunities in North America and Australia.
The firm said the larger warehouse has also enabled it to grow its product range, increase logistics capabilities and develop its own-brand products.
Trilanco MD Martin Balmer said: “We identified that the main obstacle to the growth of the business was the size of our former premises and we set about formulating an expansion plan.
“With HSBC’s funding we were able to build this excellent facility which has already allowed us to offer customers a greater range of products, expanding on the 12,000 we already stocked, and to grow our marketing team.”
He added: “The building is a real statement of intent and will be the foundation for Trilanco’s future growth.”
HSBC’s relationship director for Lancashire, Mark Johnson, commented: “We are very pleased to be backing Trilanco.
“It is a fine example of a market-leading Lancashire business that is not only creating skilled local jobs but also setting its sights on new markets in both the UK and overseas.”
He continued: “We look forward to seeing the business grow and our continued support demonstrates our appetite to back local businesses in Lancashire and beyond.”
Trilanco was founded in 1979 in Poulton-Le-Fylde.
