Prime Day flourishes in the UK as mega-deals attract the masses
Amazon has released the results from its third annual Prime Day, this year being hours long for the first time instead of the traditional hours. In a press release, the company stated that one day is simply not enough time for everyone to hunt for the bargains they want, hence why Prime Day actually started at on Monday, ending at midnight the following day. Amazon also said that sales globally surpassed Black Friday and Monday, all on a day with deals reserved exclusively for Prime members.
This year saw Prime Day grow even bigger, in fact, the stats show it grew by more than % in comparison to , with more new Prime members joining on July than any other single day in Amazon history. Other top-sellers at Amazon were: an Oral-B Smart Series Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush with Connectivity, a Bosch Cordless Drill, Joe The Lean in Collection of books and the Sony 4. With the growth of , we can only imagine what is going to look like.
