ITV-owned film equipment supplier ProVision plots West Gorton move
Film and television equipment supplier ProVision has unveiled plans to move its Manchester operation to Space Studios in West Gorton.
The ITV-owned company said it is looking to “refresh and reshape” the way it works in the North with its move to the TV production stage complex, which will take place this Autumn.
ProVision’s Leeds team recently relocated to new premises on Burley Road.
The firm was founded in 1989 and supplies cameras, lighting, grip and sound equipment for production companies working on dramas, factual programmes, TV ads and feature films.
ProVision boss Graham Waite said: “As drama and production in the North continue to increase we have taken time to reshape the business and maximise our potential in the two main northern production hubs.
“Space Studios Manchester is a perfect fit for us and is an exciting community to be part of. Not only does it place us into the heart of a vibrant media hub, it also puts us into the home of drama, which is an increasing part of our business.”
He added: “With our Leeds operation also recently moving to new premises on Burley Road, we are well placed to develop our business further.”
Space Studios Manchester CEO Adrian Bleasdale commented: “We are very pleased that ProVision have chosen Space Studios Manchester as their base.
“Their vision fits perfectly with our ongoing development, ensuring that we continue to build on the eco system for the broadcast and film industry here in Manchester.”
Adrian continued: “We’re aiming to make further announcements regarding the development of the Space Studios Manchester eco system very soon.”
ProVision Manchester is currently based at The Sharp Project, where it will operate until work on its new home is complete later this year.
