Exam joy for staff at Qubic Tax
Staff at a national firm of tax specialists are celebrating after passing their latest Accountancy and Tax exams.
Qubic, a national firm of chartered accountants with offices in both London and Newcastle, is rolling out formal training to a quarter of its workforce, with staff currently studying towards a range of professional qualifications including CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) and AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians).
The firm specialises in providing tax advice to SME’s, high net worth clients and business owners throughout the UK.
James Richardson and Jonathan Fearing are among the latest employees to pass their exams and a step nearer to completing their qualifications.
Mr Richardson who is working towards the AAT Accounting qualification said:
“Having started with Qubic 2 years ago as a Business Administration Apprentice, and progressing into the finance department last December, I’m delighted to have passed my latest exam and be on my way to achieving the AAT qualification”.
Mr Fearing, who as well as being a qualified member of the Association of Tax Technicians, is only one exam away from becoming a fully qualified Chartered Tax Adviser and commented:
“I am delighted to be so close to completion of the CTA qualification, not only does having my skills and expertise formally recognised in this way serve as an incredible boost to my career prospects, but it is also invaluable in enabling me to deliver my job to a higher standard”.
Qubic employ a range of qualified experts including accountants, solicitors and tax advisers and its staff are recognised by a number of professional bodies including ICAEW, CIOT, ACCA, The Law Society and STEP.
Nearing its tenth year of business, with over 30 staff, Qubic Tax is a member firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England Wales (ICAEW) and is also accredited with the Investors in People Gold award. The firm is this month celebrating having been an Investors in People firm for 5 years.

Qubic’s staff also study a range of other formal qualifications including a Business & Administration Diploma and professional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
The firm has grown considerably since first opening in 2008 and is continuing to expand with the addition of new employee roles and services, and a move last month to bigger London office premises in the prestigious Gherkin (30 St Mary Axe).
