Growth adds up for Cheshire accountancy firm Ascendis

Accountancy firm Ascendis has moved to a new office in Wilmslow as a springboard for future growth.

Using six-figure funding from the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), the company acquired a property at the The Colony scheme on Altrincham Road.

The office will serve as a base for Ascendis’ Didsbury Village and Alderley Edge teams.

The firm currently employs 22 people in the North West but expects that figure to increase soon.

In addition to creating jobs in Wilmslow, Ascendis hopes to grow its Manchester city centre presence in the near future.

Managing Director Richard Fleming, who founded Ascendis in 2004, said: “We couldn’t be happier with our new premises.

“We have experienced strong levels of growth during the last few years and this has culminated in our need to acquire larger offices. The Colony is a fantastic development, beautifully and comfortably designed and we are pleased to have acquired a property there.”

He continued: “The new premises are not only a great investment for us but provide us with the space we need to grow and will enable us to provide even higher levels of service for our clients.

“The support we have received from Michele Fynan and the team at Royal Bank of Scotland throughout the acquisition period has been excellent. We very much enjoy working with them and look forward to continuing to work together as we focus on our expansion.”

RBS relationship manager Michele Fynan said: “Ascendis’ new offices are set to provide a great base for the firm for the foreseeable future.

“I am pleased that we have been able to provide funding to support the acquisition and enable the firm to invest in its future growth.”
