Manchester United swipe for new sleeve sponsor
Manchester United are on the cusp of signing their first ever sleeve sponsor, multiple reports have claimed.
According to the Daily Mail, dating app Tinder today (August 3) confirmed their interest in a tie-up with the Premier League side.
The newspaper reported that the company is currently holding discussions over the deal, valued at £12m.
Tinder, which boasts an estimated 50 million users, is already associated with Italian club Napoli.
As part of the agreement, a dating profile was created on the app for Poland striker Arkadiusz Milik.
A spokesperson for Tinder commented: “We are in talks with Manchester United to explore potential partnership opportunities.
“We are excited to see what we can do together.”
Sleeve sponsorship slots represent a new commercial opportunity for Premiership clubs, available from this coming season.
Nine teams have signed sleeve deals to date, including regional rival Manchester City and Chelsea.
