Stewart Milne Homes to build on growth in North West as sales surpass £60m
Independent housebuilder Stewart Milne Homes is targeting further growth in the North West, after reporting a sales value of more than £60m in the 2016/17 financial year.
Stewart Milne Homes North West, which is headquartered in Manchester, has seen the volume of new home completions in the region double in the last 12 months, from 134 to 268.
As a result of this growth, the housebuilder plans to expand the division to 500 units over the next three years. It is already eyeing an 11% growth to over 300 units next financial year and has reported more than £20m of forward sales reserved beyond the next quarter.
Stewart Milne Homes is investing in five new developments over the next 12 months in the North West, resulting in the construction of 447 new homes.
Paul Challinor, North West managing director for Stewart Milne Homes, said: “The North West is a key growth area for the company and we will continue to invest heavily in the region to cement these impressive sales figures.
“The figures reflect an increased market demand for our quality homes, and suggest that despite slowing nationally, the market is continuing to benefit from resilient consumer confidence.
“We have a strong product underpinned by quality, craftsmanship and very high design specifications – all of which have helped us to gain traction in the market and provide a strong platform for growth.
“Over the next 12 months we will work to increase our volume output through the acquisition of larger sites in prime residential locations. We will also drive forward our core Group values which focus on quality homes and a customer centric approach to building and selling homes.”
