Russell Homes launches £25.5m resi scheme in Cheshire

North West housebuilder Russell Homes has launched Saltersford Gardens, its nine-acre residential development in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.

The £25.5m scheme, located off Macclesfield Road, comprises 93 properties and a children’s play area with green open space.

The homes, a mix of two- to five-bedroom houses, were designed by Stretford-based architecture practice MPSL.

As part of the project, which had planning support from Walsingham Planning, highways improvements are being made along Macclesfield Road.

Among the changes are a new roundabout at its junction with Manor Avenue, a Toucan crossing at the eastern approach and a new footpath to the village.

Russell Homes sales manager Gill Richardson said: “We have been very conscious that this development should deliver a mix of housing which would cater to the demands of different people within the community.

“The inclusion of two-bedroom properties aims to meet the needs of the younger first-time buyers and perhaps older downsizers, while the larger homes will provide options for families who need to move up and want to stay in, or come to, this very desirable part of Cheshire.”

She added: “Although construction is still underway, we’ve already had around 420 people request a brochure and we’re looking forward to welcoming many of them to site over the summer.”

Work on Saltersford Gardens is due for completion by Summer 2020.
