Sir Richard Branson calls on Manchester entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas
Virgin Media Business is calling on Manchester entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas for the chance to win £5000 and meet business magnate Richard Branson.
The company has confirmed plans to bring its Voom Tour bus to 1 Exchange Square next month, giving the city’s entrepreneurs the opportunity to take part in pitching competition Voom Pitch.
Attendees will have access to free one-to-one business advice from representatives of advertising giant JCDecaux, social network LinkedIn, funding platform Crowdfunder and others.
The bus will also host a panel discussion with previous Voom finalist Luke Massie, founder of Lancaster-based ticket firm Vibe Tickets.
Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson said: “The Voom Tour is coming to seek out the brilliant entrepreneurs and ideas from Manchester, and help break down the barriers to business success.
“The aim is to help them put aside their fears and take the next steps on what could be the most significant journey of their business life.”
Virgin Media Business MD Peter Kelly commented: “Whether you’ve already started a business and want some help, or need advice to help get a brand new venture off the ground, the Voom Tour is the perfect platform to prepare your business for the big time.
“We hope to see as many of Manchester’s business community as possible join us.”
The Voom Bus will be at Exchange Square on September 6 and 7, from 10am to 5pm.
