Luxury British perfume house to make Leeds debut in Victoria Quarter

Penhaligon’s, the luxury British perfume house, is set to join the retail lineup at Victoria Quarter in Leeds this autumn.

The new 115 sq m store will be located in the Grade-II listed arcades, which form part of Hammerson’s Victoria Leeds estate.

Penhaligon’s new store will showcase its full range of fragrances for the first time in Leeds.

Established in the late 19th Century, Penhaligon’s fragrances is still based on the recipes of its founder William Penhaligon, who became Court Barber and Perfumer to Queen Victoria.

The brand creates products which constructed from a blend of natural sources and the latest technologies in fragrance chemistry.

The signing marks the latest in a number of firsts for Leeds in the past 12 months, with the opening of Victoria Gate bringing a flagship John Lewis to the city, as well as Aspinal of London, Neom Organics and T2 amongst others.

Iain Mitchell, Hammerson’s UK commercial director, commented, “Penhaligon’s is the perfect addition to Victoria Leeds, which is already home to a range of luxury brands.

“With its rich British heritage, the brand is highly complementary to the tenant mix and its debut is sure to be well received by the city and wider region.”
