Liverpool printing firm Hobs Group secures £4m BGF investment

Printing and reprographics business Hobs Group has secured a new six-figure investment from funding provider BGF.

The Liverpool-headquartered firm will use the £4m boost to continue expanding its 3D printing, reprographics, facilities management and legal support services for UK businesses.

The company has reported growth across all of its businesses – Hobs Studio, Hobs Repro, Hobs On-Site and Anexsys – since it partnered with BGF in 2014.

The latest investment has brought BGF’s total backing for the firm to £11m.

Hobs’ growth strategy saw it recently acquire Face Creative Services and K2 Legal Support and invest in new ERP and web-to-print systems.

With the new investment from BGF, Hobs will continue to drive organic growth while also exploring potential future acquisitions.

BGF’s Neil Inskip, a member of the Hobs Group board, commented: “Hobs is at the forefront of innovation in the 3D and specialist document related services and has experienced solid growth since our investment.
