Doncaster Sheffield Airport announces 'exciting' new partnership with Sheffield Arena
Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) has announced a new partnership that has seen it acquire the naming rights to the Sheffield Arena.
The six-figure investment by DSA will see the Arena re-named as the FlyDSA Arena from Wednesday 20th September 2017.
The three-year deal comes will see the two organisations work in close partnership to promote the airport and the venue, as well as the wider Sheffield region.
Robert Hough, chairman of Peel Airports, said: “DSA is an airport the Sheffield City region and Yorkshire can be proud of; currently the fastest growing in the UK with more destinations and airlines than ever before and officially rated the best small airport in the UK.
“DSA and the Arena are key parts of Sheffield and the region’s leisure offering so by working together we hope to attract even more visitors to the region.”
Kate Stow, head of marketing and communications at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, added: “Doncaster Sheffield Airport is Sheffield’s Airport, this new and exciting partnership will bring DSA into the hearts and minds of Sheffielders and the huge audience the FlyDSA Arena attracts from across Yorkshire.”
The FlyDSA Arena is set instal all new venue branding and the agreement will also include a rebrand of the over 1.5 million tickets sold across the ticketing network, all leaflets, posters, venue signage and advertising to FlyDSA Arena.
