PLATE

A new restaurant by chef Arnaud Stevens is coming to Shoreditch

Shoreditch has a lot to shout about when it comes to food, and it is now set to get a new entrant in the form of an artisanal bakery and sharing plates eatery.

Chef Arnaud Stevens has launched PLATE Restaurant, Bar and Bake, which has been located in the M by Montcalm Hotel in Shoreditch. Previously, Tonic & Remedy was situated here.

Stevens, being a firm believer of sharing food to bring people together, has created a variety of sharing plates for his restaurant, which can be mixed by diners.

He is inspired by international influences and has had classic French training, however he hopes to provide a communal, laid-back atmosphere with the opening.

In addition to the main restaurant, Stevens has also launched PLATE BAKE, a bakery located on the floor below the restaurant within the M by Montcalm Hotel. Shoreditch locals will be able to come in for a pastry, snack, afternoon tea or coffee by Musetti.

Front of house is Ludo Bargibant, operations director for the PLATE group, who is a hospitality professional having worked with Stevens at Searcys. Bargibant began his career at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, and went to work at several restaurants thereafter.

The kitchen is to run by executive chef, Matt Hill, who has previously worked with Peter Reffell at Bleeding Heart and Tom Aikens.
