VIP group takes tour of Chorley’s £4.8m Inspire development
A VIP group was taken on a site tour of the multi-million pound Inspire youth zone this week.
Capital supporters and founder patrons were invited to see first-hand the construction progress and learn more about the centre’s plans.
Among the guests were representatives of Chorley Council and Lancashire County Council, The Queen’s Trust and representatives of various founder patron organisations.
Once complete in Spring 2018, the £4.8m Inspire development will deliver a new gym, dance studio, football pitch, climbing wall, arts room and more over three floors.
Chorley-based workwear company Carrington Workwear is one of Inspire’s capital and revenue supporters.
Nigel Bate, director at Carrington Workwear, commented: “It was great to take a tour of the building, knowing that we are moving closer to the grand opening.
“It is a brilliant initiative and I’m so pleased that we’re playing a part in supporting Chorley’s young people and giving something back to the community.’’
Chorley Council Leader Cllr Alistair Bradley commented: “It’s great to see the Youth Zone starting to take shape as it will provide fantastic facilities for the young people of our borough to benefit from.
“There’ll be plenty to do for young people of all abilities and interests and will be a place they can have fun but also learn new skills.”
