Wakefield firm Hague Print acquires Australia’s Schinners Business Forms

Print management company Hague Print has acquired a specialist printing firm based in Australia.

Hague, which has operations in West Yorkshire and Australia, snapped up Schinners Business Forms for an undisclosed sum.

Schinner was founded in 1984 by John Schinner and today boasts an annual turnover of $2.5m. John’s son, David, became managing director in 2006.

Headquartered in Wakefield, Hague first expanded into the Australian market in 2009 and went on to form Hague Australia in 2014. The company cemented its presence Down Under last year with the acquisition of Victoria-based Foremost Print Solutions.

Simon Hayward, group director of Hague Australia, said: “I’m very excited with the additional resources and production capability gained through the acquisition of Schinners.

“We will continue to offer the outstanding service and support to Schinners existing customers but we can now offer them a wider range of products and solutions.”

Hague director Nathan Wain commented: “We are delighted to add Schinners to our ever-increasing portfolio.

“David wanted to exit the market to focus on other interests and Hague acted quickly to ensure continuous service to customers and employees.”

He added: “It is a fantastic opportunity and I’m very much looking forward to how our Australian enterprise develops.”
