Jet2.com announces 45k additional Winter seats at Manchester Airport
Travel company Jet2 is adding thousands of seats and additional holidays to winter sun hotspots from Manchester Airport.
The leisure airline and package holiday company is expanding in the region with an additional 45k seats, bringing the total for its 2017 Winter programme at Manchester Airport to over 575k.
The move represents a year-on-year increase in capacity of 8.4%.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will now operate more flights and holidays to popular winter sun and city destinations such as Alicante, Faro, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Tenerife and Malaga.
The company said it will also deploy larger aircraft and run more frequent weekly services.
Steve Heapy, chief exec of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, commented: “A number of factors have resulted in increased demand for our award-winning flights and ATOL protected package holidays.
“To meet that demand we have added extra capacity from Manchester Airport so that holidaymakers can continue to reach their favourite winter sun destinations from their local airport.”
He added: “We won’t be stopping at these winter flights, so keep an eye out for further announcements about additional Summer 18 capacity very soon.”
