Manchester Airport targets new retailers and dining outlets for revamped Terminal Two

Manchester Airport has embarked on a new drive to attract retailers and F&B outlets as part of its ongoing £1bn transformation programme.

The airport’s ‘We are changing’ campaign follows the start of construction work on Terminal Two, which will double in size with 167,000 sq ft of retail space across 60 new units.

In addition to high street retailers, Manchester Airport said it wants to draw a range of independent and local brands.

Among the new spaces will be a market area for pop-up food stalls and smaller independent food outlets.

Stephen Turner, the airport’s commercial director, said: “The transformation programme is a hugely significant investment for the airport as we look to create a facility that will give our passengers a world class experience.

“As part of this, we have a chance to create a unique retail environment that will be memorable and engaging for our customers.”

An industry event for firms interested in setting up at the airport will be held on November 21 at the Midland Hotel.
