Oldham scaffolding firm gets off the ground with £25k startup loan
A new scaffolding business has launched in Oldham with the help of five-figure startup funding, creating 20 jobs.
James Brierley, the man behind Rose System Scaffolding, set the venture up using a £25k loan from provider Business Finance Solutions.
With more than 25 years’ experience in running teams and working within the scaffolding and building sector, James is investing in a new generation of equipment with which he hopes to offer efficient, safer and more cost-effective services.
Rose System’s offering will include the use of advanced software to create 2D and 3D scaffolding drawings for customers.
The company is already working with a number of established contractors, including Emanuel Whittaker, on improvement projects in the Oldham area.
James said: “With the help of the loan from Business Finance Solutions, I’ve been able to create a business that combines my lifetime of experience and expertise with the very latest and best building products on the market.
“Using the funding to invest in high quality stock, we are now delivering a world class and innovative way of working to what is often seen as a very traditional sector.”
He continued: “The benefit to our clients is that we are able to work with incredible accuracy and can erect and dismantle the scaffolding much more quickly, saving them time and money.”
BFS’ head of lending, Roger Seddon, commented: “James is a great example of how the Start Up Loans programme is helping people at the top of their game in all professions – from scaffolders to solicitors – to start their own businesses and to bring new and exciting alternatives to their field.
“James is very well known within the industry by potential clients, partners and stakeholders and they and we have enormous faith in his ability to build this business into a real game-changer in the building trade.”
