Arch Apprentices chosen to train 600 of the 'Next Generation' of Civil Service Employers
Arch Apprentices has been awarded a place on a new Framework Agreement with CCS, for a potential duration of up to three years. One of only 6 SMEs successful in the UK-wide competition, Arch is the chosen supplier for all Finance and HR apprenticeships across central government departments, as well as an approved provider for a range of Finance, HR & Digital apprenticeship Standards to the wider public sector.
Alongside sister company AVADO, and in partnership with others including CIPD, ACCA & AAT; Arch anticipates that it will enrol between 150 and 200 apprentices before March 2018, and hopes for in excess of 600 apprentices to complete its courses across the duration of the contract.
Arch Apprentices was chosen by CCS thanks to its excellent quality of delivery, its Outstanding Ofsted rating and its track record of delivery across a number of large organisations alongside sister business AVADO and partners such as CIPD. It was also given full marks across the board in terms of relevance and quality on every single one of its programmes, including digital delivery – complimenting the Government’s ‘Digital by Default’ strategic objective.
The ambition to train the ‘next generation’ of civil servants follows the Civil Service’s target to deliver apprenticeships at an annual rate of 2.3% of its workforce.
To achieve this, and support the government’s new approach to on the job training, the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) framework is investing more than £360 million from a combined budget pot.
Arch Apprentices CEO, Jason Moss, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded a place on the CCS Framework Agreement to support and train the next generation of civil servants. As an SME, we are extremely proud that our expertise in digital has been recognised and we are committed to creating apprenticeships for the digital age that will help our partners develop a more digital workforce.
At Arch, we believe in the transformative power of learning, and are looking forward to working with the Civil Service to run apprenticeship programmes which will support the widely recognised policy of being digital by default in all government sectors.“
The success will see pioneering training provider and SME Arch Apprentices provide HR, finance and digital apprenticeships alongside some of the largest industry providers. This Framework Agreement also means that other public sector organisations and local authorities can access Arch apprenticeships programmes for the digital age without entering a full formal public procurement process.
