151,000 sq ft Cheshire distribution site comes to market

A 151,000 sq ft warehouse site in the Halton area of Cheshire has come to the market.

US tech giant Parker Hannifin is seeking a buyer or new occupier for The Cube, a purpose-built distribution facility in Preston Brook it acquired from logistics company Wincanton Plc in 2013.

Since purchasing the scheme, Parker Hannifin said it has invested £3m on site to create fully refurbished offices and additional loading bays, among other improvements.

The Cube was built in the late 1990s and comprises two interconnected bays, the highest of which has 28m eaves.

Property consultancy Cushman & Wakefield is the facility’s sole agent.

Sam Royle, senior surveyor in Cushman & Wakefield’s logistics and industrial team, said: “This is a rare opportunity to secure a high specification facility in a strategic location.

“One of the key selling points of the building is the eaves height in the high bay section which are up to 28m and we believe to be the loftiest distribution facility available in the North of England at present.

Sam continued: “The previous occupier, Wincanton Logistics, utilised this section of the building to its maximum cubic capacity with over 32,000 pallet positions.

“Since acquiring the premises from Wincanton Plc in 2013 our client has invested over £3m into the building and it now provides fully refurbished high quality offices, an increased number of loading bays and a super flat floor in the high bay warehouse amongst other improvements.”

Parker Hannifin is leaving the site to relocate its manufacturing operations overseas.
