Flybe launches new domestic route at Manchester Airport

Manchester Airport is expanding its flight network with a new domestic route.

Budget airline Flybe has this week (October 31) announced plans for a service connecting Manchester with London Southend Airport.

The flights will operate up to three times daily.

To mark the launch, representatives held a traditional terminal celebration that featured a cake decorated with the airports’ and carrier’s branding.

Flybe is not the first airline to expand at Manchester this autumn.

At the start of October, holiday company Jet2 confirmed plans to add thousands of seats to winter sun hotspots from the North’s busiest airport.

A poll earlier this year from Which? Magazine ranked all London area’s airports in terms of how well their services are perceived by passengers and placed Southend at the top for customer satisfaction.

Southend, located 42 miles from central London in Rochford, Essex, welcomed 874,549 passengers in 2016.
