North Yorkshire management consultancy launches new division in fifth year of business
Lead Talent, a management consultancy based on the outskirts of Harrogate, has marked five years in business with the launch of a new training and development division.
Supporting both the recruitment players and new entrants, Patrick Maloney and his team support recruitment businesses with their planning, strategic objectives, talent management, head hunting, brand management and marketing needs.
Now in its 5th year, the business has announced further expansion with the launch of a specialist training and development division.
Patrick Maloney, who is the former managing director of Randstad UK, first setup the business back in 2012 riding the wave of the 2008 recession.
Patrick said: “Setting up a new business in 2012 in what many would describe as a time of uncertainty, wasn’t an issue for me. In fact, quite the opposite, the service I was offering was exactly what my clients and the marketplace needed as they faced increasing change and market pressures.
“The senior leaders I work with understand the benefits an outside perspective can bring to a business and that asking for support is not a sign of weakness, in fact quite the opposite.
“Our results speak for themselves and we are delighted to report we continue to go from strength to strength and have grown multi-directionally. Over the past 5 years we have helped our clients generate an additional £39.2m worth of profit.
“We now have a specialist team of 5 employees delivering a variety of services to our strong network of happy and loyal clients. The latest offer being our training and development division”.
“As a business, we have remained deliberately small and agile so we can maintain a highly-personalised service to our clients and our work has been predominantly with Yorkshire recruitment based SME’s, though more recently we’ve stepped outside of the recruitment world following client referrals applying those very same principles of strategy, leadership and talent, to charities and social enterprises.”
Patrick deliberately chose the rural setting of Lead Talents headquarters nestled between Harrogate and Wetherby.
Patrick said: “We have our own farm shop on site stocked full of local produce and the only traffic we need to worry about is the resident sheep and passing pheasant.
“It’s great to be able to bring our clients into this unique “retreat” setting and it most definitely contributes to the quality in output of our client sessions.
“You can actually see the physical change in our clients posture and demeanour as the day progresses. They too benefit from getting away from the hustle and bustle of city centre life and welcome the occasional intermittent phone signal. It allows focus and productivity in a world where no one seems able to switch off”.
