Completion in sight for £15m Chester care home
Work on a new multi-million pound care home in Chester is just three months from completion.
Forecast to create around 70 jobs, the 81-bed centre on Heath Lane will comprise communal lounges, formal dining rooms, landscaped gardens and bedrooms featuring en-suite wet rooms.
The £15m scheme, known as Grosvenor Manor, will also offer residents access to an on-site hair salon, nail bar and daily activities.
With the external brickwork and roof tiling finished, the site’s 30 plus contractors and tradesmen are now focusing on the building’s interiors to ensure the development remains ahead of schedule.
Grosvenor Manor is the latest project from Altrincham-based care home operator New Care, part of development business McGoff Group.
New Care CEO Chris McGoff said: “It’s less than three months until we open Grosvenor Manor and I am delighted with the progress that is being made on site.
“Build is advancing into the final stages and the team is already working on the interior so we’re well on track to complete in February 2018.”
He continued: “Grosvenor Manor is an expertly designed, purpose-built care facility that will provide first class care services in a stylish setting.
“We remain committed to improving the standards of care across the UK, and are fully confident that Grosvenor Manor will be a much welcomed addition to Chester.”
Grosvenor Manor is due to open in February 2018.
