Thomas Cook signs five-year facilities deal spanning all 680 retail stores
Thomas Cook Group has signed a multi-year deal with support services and construction business Interserve.
The London-headquartered holidays giant chose the company to deliver facilities services across its entire UK property portfolio.
Prior to the new five-year agreement, Interserve worked solely on Thomas Cook’s 180,000 sq ft corporate estate, providing cleaning, security, reception, maintenance and electrical services at its offices in Peterborough, Manchester and Falkirk.
The updated partnership will see Interserve deliver services for corporate and retail locations, potentially improving experiences for both employees in the workplace and customers at Thomas Cook’s 680 nationwide retail stores.
The contract, starting from Spring 2018, also covers the travel company’s Manchester aircraft hangar.
Thomas Cook UK’s head of procurement and property, Sam Warden, said: “Interserve has demonstrated its ability to provide a value for money and consistent service across our corporate and retail facilities.
“I’m confident that with their support, our employees will continue to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations, whether based in store or working as part of our support teams across the UK.”
Interserve MD Jeff Flanagan commented: “The combination of Interserve’s workplace and retail expertise, coupled with our UK-wide reach makes us the ideal partner for Thomas Cook.
“Our specialist teams understand the company’s needs and, more importantly, the needs of its customers, working to deliver a high-quality experience across its workspaces and high street stores.”
