Sheffield telecoms firm partners with wireless specialist Chargifi to offer ‘power to the people’
ITI Network Services, the Sheffield-based telecoms, wireless and infrastructure specialist, and wireless charging solution provider Chargifi, have formed a new partnership to give people “power when and where they need it.”
The deal means Chargifi’s wireless charging technology will be available to ITI’s multinational client portfolio, with complete implementation and management.
London-based Chargifi brings “free convenient power to people where and when they need it most,” according to CEO and founder, Dan Bladen.
Chargifi’s patent-protected technology features software that makes wireless charging transmitters “smart.” Venues can monitor usage and performance of their wireless charging spots, manage and improve the experience of their users, as well as accelerate their deployment.
Jason Denmark, CEO of ITI Network Services Ltd, said: “Wireless networks to access the internet are ubiquitous in businesses, venues, and public spaces. Now the public are demanding more: consumer uptake of smartphones and other devices using wireless charging means venues and destinations are expected to offer wireless charging points.
“Places that offer ‘power to the people’ will be at an advantage over those that don’t. So we’re thrilled to bring Chargifi’s seamless solution, with convenient hardware and truly unique performance and usage tracking software, to our valued client base.”
Chargifi already works with some of the world’s largest brands and was named in the “Top 50 Digital Innovators Power List” in 2017.
ITI has implemented projects at locations including the 2012 Olympic stadium; the BT Tower; theme parks and entertainment attractions in the UK and Europe; MoD bases; and in shopping and city centres.
The partnership enables ITI’s clients to benefit from access to Chargifi’s wireless charging solution.
Dan Bladen, Chargifi CEO and founder, added: “Consumers are constantly looking for convenient, hassle-free, quick ways of using tech to enhance their everyday lives.
“We are delighted to partner with ITI to ensure their clients can meet those consumer expectations, early and effectively. Not only will ITI be able to offer customers wireless charging deployments at scale but also valuable insight on their customers’ behaviour – something that power blocks don’t do – meaning added value for those businesses.
“The future is wireless and the power cord is being cut: wireless charging in public places will become as widely adopted as Wi-Fi over the coming months and years.”
