Business group behind Joe Bloggs fashion brand collapses

The business group behind fashion brand Joe Bloggs has fallen into administration, making all 60 staff redundant.

Jonathan Avery-Gee and Stephen Conn, from insolvency practitioner CG & Co, are the appointed joint administrators for the three companies trading collectively as Juice Corporation – Hornby Street, Continental Shelf 128 and Wembley Menswear Company.

In addition to its Joe Bloggs brand, Manchester-based Juice Corporation made Gabicci, Rawcraft, Loyalty & Faith, Juice and Elizabeth Emanuel, which designed Princess Diana’s wedding dress.

The company recorded a £13m turnover in its latest financial year.

The joint administrators have appointed Robson Kay as their agent to sell the assets, which have a value of around £7.5m.

David Kay, a director at Manchester-based Robson Kay, said: “We are looking to sell these as a package and have received a number of inquiries from potential buyers.

“We hope to achieve a sale in the near future.”

Juice owned a warehouse, offices and showrooms in addition to assets such as office furniture and forklift trucks.

Mr Kay added: “These [buildings] will be put up for sale in due course, with priority given to the buyer of the stock and intellectual property rights.”
