Popular chef Tom Aikens to relaunch flagship eatery in Chelsea

Arriving in Spring 2018, British chef Tom Aikens will relaunch his flagship Tom’s Kitchen restaurant in Chelsea.

Following an extensive refurbishment by B3 Designers, Tom will be introducing an exciting new menu offering seasonal British small plates, perfect to be shared with family and friends.

Tom’s Kitchen Chelsea first opened in 2006 as a contemporary all-day brasserie. 12 years later, the restaurant’s renewal aims to bring a modern and comfortable feel to the interiors; the perfect match for Tom’s contemporary British menus.

Spread over three floors, the restaurant is located in a Chelsea townhouse. With a rearrangement of the floorplan, following the relaunch, the bar will become a focal point of the restaurant for both counter dining and drinks, whilst relaxed window seating will also be introduced.

Both the ground floor and first floor dining rooms will be rejuvenated through the introduction of better upholstery and a darker colour scheme, contrasting with a white tile finish and wooden panelling.

With a focus on where food comes from and how it is grown, Tom’s Kitchen is dedicated to using UK-based suppliers and local producers, and this will be emphasised in both the new menus and the redesigned space of the Chelsea restaurant.

Fresh produce and photography of suppliers will be displayed to tell the story of the seasonal, local and ethically sourced ingredients used across the Tom’s Kitchen menus.

Speaking of the relaunch, Tom Aikens said: “I am incredibly proud of everything that we have achieved over the past 12 years at Chelsea.

“Moving forwards, the redesigned space and new menus will allow the restaurant to be more innovative, modern and comfortable, and I am so excited to welcome back loyal faces from over the years, as well as introducing new guests to all that Tom’s Kitchen has to offer.”
