North West businesswoman takes on Dragons’ Den investors
The founder of North West health food brand LoveRaw is set to make her TV debut this weekend as she pitches to the panelists on Dragons’ Den.
Altrincham entrepreneur Rimi Thapar, the brains behind LoveRaw, will be seen introducing the show’s investors to her range of organic, gluten- and dairy-free products.
She will feature alongside three other UK company owners seeking a cash injection in return for a stake the business.
Rimi left her career in banking to found LoveRaw five years ago, using £600 of her own money to buy ingredients and a blender.
Having started out hand-making products in her in-laws’ kitchen, she has since turned her business into a £1m enterprise.
Today, Rimi manages LoveRaw with her husband, Manav.
She said: “Being part of the show was an amazing experience - and a great opportunity to show people what we do and the philosophy behind our products.
“We are passionate about creating wholesome food that makes people feel good. The Dragons are great at what they do; having the chance to pitch to them is invaluable.”
The episode will air on BBC Two this Sunday (February 11).
