North East business support agency secures £100k for future growth
Following an investment of £100k from North Star Ventures, North East-based Generator has today (February 19) unveiled its new look as part of the drive to expand its operations and reach throughout the country.
Recognised as a successful music development agency, Generator believes its new offering will remove the confusion about what the organisation provides.
CEO at Generator, Jim Mawdsley, explained: “We want to support and reach hundreds of more businesses in our native North East and since acquiring Digital Union in 2015, we realised that our current branding and website were no longer fit for purpose.
“We needed our look to reflect this as we build more trust from a much wider client base. Thanks to our investment from Northstar Ventures, B2B Marketing Agency Horizonworks were able to carry out a full marketing audit for us.
“By merging all sites into one and clearly explaining which services we offer, will help with our expansion plans across the North and even further afield.”
Generator has said that as it starts to move away from over reliance on public funding and move toward a more commercial business model, the new branding will be vital to help communicate how experienced it is in the creative, digital and tech fields.
Generator’s new marketing manager, Jodie Balmer, continued: “It’s been such an exciting and transitional phase at Generator.
“Not only has our branding been overhauled but our culture as well. We have a really vibrant and ambitious team who are all onboard to propel Generator further.”
Samantha Davidson, managing director at Horizonworks, added: “We were one of the first companies to join Digital Union and through this, we developed a very close relationship with the Generator team.
“We were then commissioned to work with Generator to create a new marketing strategy for the organisation, which has been instrumental in shaping Generator’s rebrand and messaging.”
Established in 1991 as a music development agency, Generator applies business strategies to aid sector growth.
